The Audeze LCD-2 Classic Closed-Back, introduced in November 2017, extends Audeze’s revered sound to environments requiring isolation. It features large 106mm non-Fazor Planar Magnetic drivers, delivering the original LCD-2’s warm, engaging, and energetic sound with powerful bass, a rich midrange, and detailed highs, while providing surprisingly spacious imaging for a closed-back design. Built for comfort and durability, it includes a steel suspension headband and comfortable memory foam earpads, allowing for extended listening. The closed earcups offer significant noise isolation, ideal for focused listening. With a 70-Ohm impedance and 101dB/1mW sensitivity, it’s relatively easy to drive but benefits from amplification. It connects via a detachable 1.9m cable with dual mini-XLRs to 1/4-inch. The LCD-2 Classic Closed-Back offers Audeze’s signature planar magnetic sound with the added benefit of privacy and reduced external noise.
