AudioQuest Pearl Ethernet
Ethernet is a great way to move digital media ā photos, movies, and music ā around your home. Unlike other types of digital data, audio requires precise timing of the signal to produce maximum musical realism. For sending digital audio from Point A to Point B, AudioQuestās Pearl Ethernet cable offers several advantages: high-speed, plus extremely low timing jitter and time delay (latency). You can count on bit-perfect transfer over significant distances (up to 328 feet without an active booster or repeater).
Superior engineering and construction
Pearl uses eight solid copper conductors, which eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Each pair of wires is individually shielded to minimize crosstalk between pairs. One of the challenges of cable design is that any solid material adjacent to a conductor actually becomes part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation absorbs energy (loss), and some of this energy is stored and then later released as distortion. Solid High-Density Polyethylene Insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry while minimizing insulation-induced phase distortion.

Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors:Ā Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Solid long-grain copper conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, like Ethernet audio. These signals, being such a high frequency travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. As the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but priced much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly cost effective way of manufacturing very high quality Ethernet cables.
Solid-High-Density Polyethylene Insulation:Ā Solid High-Density Polyethylene Insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry while minimizing insulation-induced phase distortion.
RJ-45 Connectors (Directional):Ā A gold-plated, nickel RJ-45 connector with 100% shield coverage is used on each end of the Ethernet cable. These gold-plated, nickel connectors maximize signal transfer and resist corrosion. Arrows are clearly marked on the RJ-45 connectors to ensure superior sound quality.
