Lina Master Clock

The dCS Lina Master Clock is a meticulously engineered component designed to unlock the full sonic potential of the dCS Lina Network DAC and the complete Lina system. Functioning as a dedicated, ultra-high-precision Word Clock generator, it provides a stable and accurate master timing reference, essential for minimizing jitter and timing irregularities that can compromise digital audio fidelity. The Lina Master Clock incorporates two independent, oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs)—one for 44.1 kHz and its multiples, and another for 48 kHz and its multiples—ensuring optimal clocking for all audio formats.

With its own dedicated, precision-machined aluminum chassis and isolated power supply, the Lina Master Clock protects its sensitive clocking circuitry from external interference and noise. It connects to the Lina Network DAC via two 75Ω BNC cables, allowing the DAC’s internal clock to lock to this superior external signal. This results in profound audible improvements, including enhanced clarity, sharper transient response, a more focused and expansive soundstage, and a heightened sense of musical realism and flow.
