Diverging from their popular all-in-one streamers, the RA280 is a dedicated amplification powerhouse, inheriting key innovations from its flagship RA180.
At its core, the RA280 utilizes HiFi Rose’s advanced Class AD amplifier technology, employing cutting-edge Gallium Nitride (GaN) FETs. This enables ultra-fast switching and near-perfect linearity, delivering a robust 250 Watts per channel into both 8 and 4 Ohms with an analog-like fluidity and naturalness, defying common Class D stereotypes. Its dual-mono design ensures pristine channel separation, while an advanced switching power supply with Silicon Carbide (SiC) FETs guarantees stable, low-noise power delivery for dynamic and authoritative sound.
The RA280 offers versatile connectivity with three RCA line inputs, a balanced XLR input, and a high-quality Moving Magnet (MM) phono stage. It also features defeatable active tone controls for bass and treble, plus a dedicated subwoofer output. Visually, the RA280 captivates with illuminated analog VU meters and precise tactile controls, all housed within a meticulously machined solid aluminum chassis. The HiFi Rose RA280 is an impressive integrated amplifier, blending power, precision, and a refined analog sound.

Bass and treble balance control: ±15 dB bass (100 Hz) and treble (10 kHz) adjustments are possible with this high-fidelity active EQ for natural tone shaping.
Two Fully Separated Mono Amplifier Modules: Designed with independent left and right amplifier modules, each with a 250W (4Ω and 8Ω) output stage, the combined 500W stereo output improves sound clarity and spatial definition.
High-Efficiency Power Supply: A 2.5 kW power factor correction (PFC) circuit and silicon carbide FETs are used for reduced heat generation and increased efficiency, as well as consistent, dependable operation.
Moving Magnet Phono Amplifier: Using high-precision compensation circuitry, this amplifier allows moving magnet input and provides vinyl aficionados with accurate, distortion-free sound reproduction.
