The McIntosh MA8950 is a powerful and versatile 2-channel solid-state integrated amplifier, delivering 200 Watts per channel via McIntosh’s exclusive Autoformer™ technology, ensuring full power delivery regardless of speaker impedance. It integrates a preamplifier, power amplifier, and the advanced, upgradeable DA2 Digital Audio Module.
The DA2 features a Quad Balanced, 8-channel, 32-bit DAC, with 7 digital inputs including HDMI ARC, USB (supporting DSD512, DXD 384kHz), optical, coaxial, and MCT. Analog connectivity is extensive, offering 7 line-level inputs (including XLR) and adjustable MM/MC phono inputs. Enhanced filter capacity provides a 2.8dB dynamic headroom. It includes a High Drive HXD® headphone amp and Home Theater PassThru. Encased in McIntosh’s iconic black glass with blue meters, the MA8950 offers comprehensive functionality and pristine sound with ultra-low 0.005% THD.
