The McIntosh MC462 Stereo Amplifier is a flagship solid-state power amplifier, delivering a formidable 450 Watts per channel into 2, 4, or 8 Ohm loads thanks to McIntosh’s patented Autoformer™ technology. Its Quad Balanced design and significantly increased (50% more) filter capacity provide an impressive 3.0dB dynamic headroom, ensuring effortless reproduction of musical peaks and deeper bass.
Proprietary Power Guard® prevents clipping, while Sentry Monitor™ protects the amplifier. Connectivity includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, plus McIntosh’s Solid Cinch™ binding posts. Adorned with iconic blue Watt meters, a black glass front panel, and Monogrammed Heatsinks™, the MC462 combines immense power with ultra-low 0.005% THD, delivering a pristine and dynamic listening experience.
