The Audeze LCD-2 Classic, an open-back planar magnetic headphone launched in November 2017, reintroduces the beloved sound of Audeze’s original LCD-2. It features 106mm non-Fazor planar magnetic drivers, delivering a signature warm, energetic, and musical sound with powerful bass, a rich midrange, and smooth, extended highs.

Its open-back design creates a spacious and natural soundstage, ideal for immersive, non-isolated listening. Built for comfort during long sessions, it utilizes a lightweight spring steel suspension headband and plush memory foam earpads. With a 70 Ohm impedance and 101 dB/1mW sensitivity, the LCD-2 Classic is relatively easy to drive, though it benefits from dedicated amplification. Constructed with durable glass-infused nylon earcups and weighing 544g, it offers Audeze’s renowned planar magnetic performance in a more accessible and comfortable package.
